We are currently looking to sell the patterns for our standard propeller
designs. The patterns for sale were originally patterns designed by
Columbian Bronze of New York. These patterns were then acquired by the
Ellis Propeller Company in 1988.
Columbian was a high quality propeller manufacturer that began operation
in 1901 and was a major supplier to pleasure and commercial boatbuilders,
boatowners, US Coast Guard, and Navy. The United States first submarine,
NAUTILUS, was equipeed with propellers built by Columbian. Later, nuclear
powered submarines, including many of the Polaris missile launching
fleet, used Columbian propellers.
