Custom Propulsion Systems dba Ellis Propeller is fully equipped to recondition and repair boat propellers. Whether it’s an outboard, stern drive, or an inboard propeller-- aluminum, bronze, or steel -- from 6 inches in diameter to 24 feet in diameter and up to 35 tons. We have the equipment and highly skilled personnel to rebuild, modify and balance your boat's propellers. Damaged wheels are received daily from all sections of the country to be rebuilt or modified. Broken blade tip sections on large wheels are cast in our foundry and reattached and refinished to like new condition. Wheels can be re-bored to fit a different shaft size on that new drive train. Welding or straightening of rudder blades or rudder-stocks, strut legs, and other bent or otherwise damaged marine castings is commonplace at Ellis Propeller Company. All repairs can be made to meet the requirements of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). We are proud to claim over 50 years of service to the marine industry.
